Gnome
This was inspired by an illustration by Rien Portviliet. It was in a packet of do-it-yourself color pencil art featuring his work. I later discovered it on his book 'Gnome Music'. I actually bought the packet for this illustration and buried it so I wouldn't get distracted from an overdue commission. The tactic didn't work, but this was one of those high karma projects so pattern development, carving, and finishing went like lightning.
