Height: 10" Length: 14" Wood: basswood Finish: none Doorstop Reproduction This piece is my first "master".  The gentleman who commissioned this employs a local foundry to cast reproductions of doorstops.  This one was originally a lamp base.  The fact that I absolutely could not undercut, slowed me down quite a bit.  They use a sand casting procedure to produce these, and since the sand would wear away the wood quickly, an aluminum master is cast for this wooden version.  There are eight figures here and then there's "George"... what was I thinking!  Details below.
