X-Country Santa with Friends

This design
is mine. There are elements in it from several others, and I feel that's
natural, but overall the concept and composition is mine this time.
Can you tell I'm a little hung up on it ;-). This piece was in the
Woodcraft/Woodcarver's Illustrated Santa Carving Contest 2000. It won
at the store level (Bensalem, Pa near Philadelphia) where folks visiting
the store during December voted on their favorite. I have no idea how
close it came to the final prize, but someone else among the other 50+ store
winners got that honor. Together with the store winners, mine
was on display at the Fox/Chapel Open House 2001.
